North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1
Organized in 1934, the North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 (Monmouth County Station 39-2) along with its 2 sister companies, proudly serves and protects approximately 20,000 citizens in about 5.5 square miles. Our first due response area includes the popular jersey shore gateways Route 35 and Route 36 as well as many residential and commercial occupancies.
Dedicated Volunteer Force
NCVFC is an all-volunteer department staffed by a mix of active, active associate, fire police and junior members.
Our volunteers dedicate their time and skills to ensure the safety of the community, responding to emergencies 24/7 with professionalism and commitment.
Firehouse & Apparatus
Our firehouse, located at 372 Middle Road in Hazlet Township, has been the home of NCVFC since its inception. The current station, completed in 1984, houses a diverse fleet of emergency vehicles, including:
- 1 Truck
- 2 Engines
- 1 Rescue
- 1 Brush Unit
- 1 Foam Trailer
- 1 Support Unit
- 1 Fire Police Truck
- 1 Retired Apparatus
This equipment enables us to handle a wide range of emergency incidents, from structural fires to vehicle rescues and brush fires.
Community Involvement & Additional Services
Beyond fire suppression, NCVFC is actively engaged in community outreach and public education. Our services include:
- Hosting public relations events throughout the year
- Conducting a full month of fire prevention lectures annually
- Assisting the local First Aid Squad with EMS responses when dispatched
